Student ID cards will be prepared in batches after all the registrations are completed. The distribution of ID cards is scheduled to take place during the orientation week, and information will be provided to students regarding the process.

How can I apply for a leave of absence?
For various reasons, a student may wish to temporarily step away from the university, either due to compulsory reasons or to pursue education in another institution. To temporarily freeze enrollment for one or more semesters, a student needs to submit a petition addressed to the University Executive Council through KUSIS (Koç University Student Information System).

Upon evaluation of the student’s circumstances, a decision will be made. If the leave of absence is granted, the student can seamlessly resume their studies at the end of the approved period without needing further action. If a student wants to transfer credits earned during their leave from another institution to Koç University’s program, they must apply to the executive council of their faculty and receive approval.

It’s important to note that a student who wishes to take a leave of absence should have completed all registration procedures, including the payment of tuition fees.

The steps for applying for a leave of absence through KUSIS are as follows:

  1. Main Menu → Self Service → Research Activities → Service Requests
  2. Create New Request → Koc University Executive Council Petitions → Next → SUBMIT

Please be sure to follow the specific steps provided by your institution, as processes may vary slightly between universities.
