It is an equivalency letter (Denklik Belgesi) of your national high school diploma that is needed to enroll as a full time international undergraduate student at Turkish universities.

The equivalency letter should state that your high school diploma/certificate is equivalent to those obtained in Türkiye.

How do I obtain my “Denklik”?

Option A: from the local Turkish Embassy/Consulate where you live;

Option B: if this is not issued by the Turkish Embassy in your country of residence, then you should obtain it from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Türkiye.

To obtain your equivalency letter (Denklik Belgesi) from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Türkiye, you need to apply online and get an appointment for document submission. Please obtain your equivalency letter (Denklik Belgesi) in your country of residence or apply for the equivalency letter from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Türkiye before coming to enrol as a student at Koç University. If you do not submit your equivalency letter (Denklik Belgesi) or your online application appointment for document submission confirmation, your registration won’t be held.

What documents should I bring when I apply for my “Denklik”?

Required documents:

1- Original High School Diploma & transcripts + copies
2- Passport. (Copies of the personal information page + Entry date to Türkiye stamp page)
3- Form (you need to fill the form found on page 2 and sign it)
4- Copy of your Koç University admission letter.

Tips:

• Be in the Ministry of Education office at 08:00 am! (Don’t go late in the day)
• Ask for the submission receipt when you submit your documents.
• Don’t go on the same day to collect your documents. (Go 3-5 days after)
