Apply for a student visa to enter Türkiye (if you are living abroad and if necessary)

• You may or may not be required to obtain a Turkish “education/study” visa. You can check the “A-Z country specific visa information” at http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa
• If you are eligible for a touristic e-visa, you must enter Türkiye with an e-visa. You can check how to obtain your e-visa at: https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/
• If you are exempt from needing a visa to enter Türkiye, you only need a valid passport to travel to Türkiye.
• If none of the above applies to you, you must apply for a visa at a Turkish Consulate or Embassy in your country of residence. You can find a list of Turkish Consulates at: https://www.konsolosluk.gov.tr/

IMPORTANT NOTE: For in-person visa applications, certain consulates might require a visa support letter in addition to your admission letter. If you are asked for this document, please email the our International Community Office at ico@ku.edu.tr to request and we will send it to the relevant consulate.
